What perennial plant, bush or blubs have bright flowers that bloom april-june in zone 7 of the eastern US?

I would like them to be seen from the street which is about 100 feet away from the house. The rhododendrons there now would be perfect, but they aren't doing well for some reason. The azaleas on the other end of the same side with identical soil and light are doing just fine. It may be a disease.

Thanks!

We have day lilies and petunias blooming right now along with verbena, fox glove, and coreopsis. If you get several different varieties of day lilies they can bloom right through June. Stella-del-oro is an example.
